This week, we are very happy to share that our Cambridgeshire care home and rehab centre has been successfully reconfirmed as a Learning Organisation approved by Health Education England.

Askham reconfirmed as an approved Learning Organisation
Askham Village Community, based in Doddington, March, was recognised as a learning environment for NHS East of England, as our team met the quality standards required to provide a safe and nurturing learning environment for clinical learners.
The certificate comes as a confirmation of the support received by all our trainees throughout their learning process, along with the commitment of our team in providing multi-professional education. Being part of Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Training Hub, Askham is able to train the future generation of General Practice, as well as other healthcare professionals such as nurses.
Talking about this achievement, Mavrick Leveille, our Associate Director, says: “We are delighted to have reconfirmed our place amongst the learning organisations available in the Cambridgeshire area. This certification has a tremendous impact on the development of our whole team. By being a learning organisation, we are committed to ensure a learning environment to all our trainees. We are very happy to connect with other practices and trainers across the region to be able to extend our knowledge and together to make the health and social sector a more educated space.”
The development of a learning hub
Making Askham a learning hub has always been one of our deep interests of the organisation and we managed to do that across the year through the development of our onsite training centre, AVC Training. The centre has a huge impact on the development of each of our team members, making sure they stay up-to-date with their training or even helping them progress in their careers. Together with the centre, this certification speaks volumes of one of our five core values which is empowerment.
