Fire Safety Awareness Month at Askham

Welcome to Fire Safety Awareness Month at Askham!

This is the first of our themed months which will take place throughout 2019. Keep an eye on our social media channels and also on our website to see how we are going to make this year great!

The Fire Safety Awareness Month is a good opportunity for Askham staff to brush up on key principles and also to show the knowledge they have by participating in a quiz at the end of the month.

So, do you know what to do in the event of a Fire? Respect these principles and you’ll have a good start.

Do not block fire exits
Know who your fire marshal is
Keep corridors clear of debris
Check resident personal evacuation plans are accurate
Practice fire drills regularly

Fire Safety Awareness Month is not intended to be a training programme. Askham staff will receive training on site and these posters are to be considered just guidelines for good practice.          Askham Village Community is not responsible for any misunderstandings caused by this event.
