Starting between £10.75 and £10.90 and raising after a successful completion of probation. Askham Village Community is looking to employ caring individuals to come and support our residents on our 7 Acre site.

Key areas of being a senior carer include quality assurance, and peer support. The Senior Carer role means that you would be responsible for ensuring that the standard of care across all shifts is consistently high.

The Senior Carer will coach and mentor Carers and must take charge of the Shift when asked to do so by the Nurse in charge while developing junior level team members, managing complex residents care needs, communicating changes to residents’ presentation.
Above all, the successful candidate should show a willingness to go above and beyond to lead by example and ensure that every resident has a holistic approach to their care needs having been met.

Minimum qualifications:

NVQ3 in Health & Social Care
Overseas nursing equivalent Qualification
Senior Carers will be expected to demonstrate competency in a range of areas
