Askham Village Community welcomed residents, families, friends, local businesses and members of the wider community to its annual Summer Fayre, transforming the grounds into a vibrant celebration of community, entertainment and togetherness.
With beautiful summer weather, live performances, family activities, local stall holders and delicious food prepared by Askham’s own catering team, the event created a fantastic atmosphere enjoyed by visitors of all ages.
The Summer Fayre is one of Askham Village Community’s largest annual events, bringing together residents, relatives, team members, volunteers, local businesses and visitors for a day that celebrates connection, community and shared experiences.

A Day of Community, Entertainment and Summer Fun
Throughout the afternoon, visitors enjoyed a wide variety of activities, live entertainment and attractions across the Askham grounds.
Families took part in games, children’s entertainment, glitter and hair braiding, crafts and other activities, while live performances created a lively atmosphere that continued throughout the day.
The beautiful weather added to the celebrations, making it a wonderful opportunity for residents, relatives, friends and members of the local community to spend time together.
Supporting Local Businesses and Resident-Led Stalls
The Summer Fayre also showcased a fantastic selection of stalls featuring local businesses, handmade crafts, jewellery, gifts, sweet treats and resident-made creations.
Among the highlights were Askham’s resident-led stalls, giving residents the opportunity to display and sell their handmade crafts while engaging with visitors from the wider community.
The event continues to provide an important opportunity to support independent businesses, local makers and community organisations while celebrating the creativity and talents of residents.
Great Food Prepared by the Askham Team
Visitors also enjoyed food freshly prepared by Askham’s catering team, including the popular Askham BBQ led by Executive Chef Tyler Horton, alongside refreshments served from the Askham Café.
Food plays an important role in Askham events, bringing people together and helping create the welcoming atmosphere that has become synonymous with the Summer Fayre.

The success of the Summer Fayre was made possible through the dedication of many people across Askham.

Join Us at the Askham Xmas Fayre
Following another successful Summer Fayre, preparations are already underway for the Askham Xmas Fayre, which will take place on Saturday, 21st November, from 11am to 4pm on the Askham Village Community grounds.
The annual festive event will once again welcome residents, families, visitors, local businesses and community groups for a day of seasonal shopping, entertainment and festive celebrations.
